Fascia Medicine · Pathway 01

The medical arm of The Fascia Institute.

When pain has a fascial origin — and so much pain does — the right answer is rarely another opinion. It is precise, palpation- and image-guided treatment by a physician who specializes in this tissue. That is what we do here.

What is Fascia Medicine?

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps every muscle, organ, and nerve in your body. When it is healthy, you do not feel it. When it is restricted, scarred, or injured, it can produce pain that confounds standard imaging and standard rehabilitation — pain that is felt at the joint but originates in the tissue, pain that hurts long after the workup has come back clean.

Fascia Medicine is the discipline of diagnosing and treating that tissue specifically — not muscles in isolation, not nerves in isolation, but the integrated soft-tissue matrix that holds you together. At The Fascia Institute, this work is led by Dr. Jacques Courseault, who has built his career around developing the diagnostic and treatment methods the rest of the field is still catching up to. The same protocols and signature techniques that define our flagship clinic in New Orleans are now available at our Beverly Hills practice.

Three signature treatments. One signature diagnostic.

Our medical arm is built around three procedural treatments and one proprietary advanced diagnostic. The treatments are not a sequence — they are a toolkit. One case calls for release. Another calls for stimulation. Another calls for regeneration. Some cases call for a combination, layered over time. Dr. Courseault selects what your tissue actually needs.

RELEASE

Hydrofascia Release (HFR)

A precise, ultrasound-guided release of fascial adhesions and restrictions using fluid as the instrument. Where manual therapy reaches the surface, Hydrofascia Release reaches the layers underneath — separating tissue planes that have become bound, restoring glide, and resolving pain patterns that no amount of stretching or massage was ever going to reach.

Two protocols — HFR-A (anti-inflammatory) and HFR-P (prolotherapy) — are tailored to the type and stage of soft-tissue dysfunction.

STIMULATE

Fascial Dextrose Prolotherapy

A regenerative injection technique that uses targeted dextrose to provoke a controlled healing response at fascial, ligamentous, and tendinous attachment sites. A long-trusted tool for patients whose connective tissue does not heal the way standard rehabilitation expects it to — and a particular fit for hypermobile patients, where ligamentous laxity is part of the underlying picture.

REGENERATE

ProloBoost Dual PRP

High-Dose Platelet-Rich Plasma Program

Our most powerful regenerative option — a proprietary high-dose program developed at The Fascia Institute that pairs two platelet-rich plasma preparations to deliver an unusually high concentration of regenerative factors directly to the tissue most in need of them. ProloBoost is what we reach for when a case warrants the strongest tool in our cabinet: persistent injury, slow-healing tissue, or a body that has tried everything else.

And our signature diagnostic — for those who want it.

Most Fascia Medicine cases are evaluated, diagnosed, and treated through Dr. Courseault’s standard physical exam and case-specific ultrasound. But for patients with complex presentations — and for patients who simply want to understand their body at a level of detail no one has ever shown them — we offer a unique advanced diagnostic developed by Dr. Courseault himself.

OPTIONAL · ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC

Fascial Mapping

Fascial Mapping is a full-body ultrasound assessment of your fascial network, performed and read by Dr. Courseault. It systematically captures fascial restriction, dysfunction, and tissue behavior across the entire body — not in isolation, but as one connected map. The result is a level of insight into your soft tissue that almost no patient has ever seen of themselves.

Fascial Mapping is optional, not required. It is not a prerequisite for treatment. We recommend it in two circumstances: complex cases, where the source of pain has resisted other workups and a full-body view is genuinely clarifying; and for patients who want to know their fascial network — those who, at a moment of curiosity or commitment to long-term body health, want the most thorough picture available of the tissue that holds them together.

Fascial Mapping was developed by Dr. Jacques Courseault and is not performed outside The Fascia Institute network.

Your visit, simply.

Most Fascia Medicine visits follow a straightforward structure. Diagnostic conversation and physical exam come first. Treatment, when appropriate, is performed the same day. And recovery is protected by what comes after.

STEP 1Diagnostic visit with Dr. Courseault, in person in Beverly Hills. A focused history, physical evaluation, and case-specific ultrasound to identify the tissue source of your pain. Patients with complex presentations — or those who simply want a full-body view of their fascial network — may add Fascial Mapping at this stage.
STEP 2In-office procedural treatment, performed the same day when appropriate. Hydrofascia Release, Fascial Dextrose Prolotherapy, ProloBoost Dual PRP, or a combination — selected based on what your case actually requires.
STEP 3Recovery and continuation of care through the Fascia Performance Program, where the gains from each procedure are protected and built upon over time, in person, by our senior in-house practitioner.

What we treat.

Fascia Medicine is appropriate for a broad range of pain and soft-tissue conditions, particularly those that have not resolved with standard imaging-led care. Among the most common presentations:

Chronic myofascial pain
Sports and overuse injuries
Tendinopathy & tendinosis
Ligament laxity & instability
Post-surgical scar & adhesion pain
Fascial restrictions following injury
Joint pain unresolved by standard care
Connective-tissue pain in hypermobility / EDS
Three signature treatments. One signature diagnostic. Every visit shaped to what your case actually needs — never to the reverse.
