About Us

The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center of Los Angeles

Specialized care for fascial pain and hypermobility — now rooted in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, with a coordinated team designed so your treatment continues, beautifully, between every visit.

How we got to Los Angeles

For years, a steady stream of patients flew from California to New Orleans to be seen at The Fascia Institute. The trip became a ritual for many, and the travel a quiet testament to how few clinicians focus on fascia the way we do. It also made one thing clear: if patients were willing to cross the country for care, the care should meet them closer to home.

We began testing that idea with a series of pop-up clinics in Torrance. The response was immediate and overwhelming, and it convinced Dr. Jacques Courseault to make a long-term commitment to Los Angeles. After a thoughtful search, we were fortunate to find a space worthy of that commitment: an office in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, designed to feel as considered as the medicine practiced inside it.

Why Los Angeles?

Asked the question, Dr. Courseault tends to answer — half in jest — with the obvious: the weather. But the truer answer is the city itself. Los Angeles has a deep awareness of and genuine interest in being healthy and whole. Each community has its own feel and its own questions about the body. And of course, there are the beaches. It is hard to think of a better place to invest in long-term, body-conscious care.

One practice. Three coordinated pathways of care.

Specialty fascial care does not fit a single appointment type. We have built our Los Angeles practice around three distinct pathways — each one anchored by Dr. Courseault, each one designed so your care continues whether or not he is physically in the office on a given day.

A note on televisits: our model uses remote evaluations not as a compromise, but as a feature. A busy life should not stand between you and being seen. Each pathway is designed so the conversational and diagnostic work can meet you where you already are, and your in-person time is protected for what only in-person time can do. You do not come in for a discussion. You come in for care.

01Fascia Medicine — Physician-led diagnosis and in-office procedural treatment for fascial pain, including injections and prolotherapy.
02The Fascia Performance Program — Ongoing, in-person rehabilitative care designed by a national-level fascia and hypermobility specialist physical therapist and delivered by our senior in-house practitioner.
03Hypermobility & EDS Care — A structured, physician-led 5-visit protocol for hypermobility spectrum disorders, EDS, and related connective-tissue conditions.

PATHWAY 01

Fascia Medicine

For patients with fascial pain in need of physician-level diagnosis and in-office procedures.

This is the medical arm of the Institute, and the heart of what we do. When pain has a fascial origin — and so much pain does — the right answer is rarely another opinion. It is precise, palpation- and image-guided treatment by a physician who specializes in this tissue.

STEP 1Diagnostic visit with Dr. Courseault, in person in Beverly Hills, focused on identifying the fascial source of your pain.
STEP 2In-office procedural treatment, performed the same day when appropriate. This may include targeted fascial injections, prolotherapy, and other regenerative techniques tailored to your tissue.
STEP 3Recovery and continuation of care through the Fascia Performance Program (Pathway 02), where the gains from each procedure are protected and built upon over time.

PATHWAY 02

The Fascia Performance Program

A signature, fully coordinated rehabilitative program — designed by a national-level fascia & hypermobility specialist and delivered in person by our senior in-house practitioner.

The Fascia Performance Program is the answer to the most important question patients ask us: “What happens between visits with Dr. Courseault?” The answer is a clinician-designed, hands-on program that runs continuously, in our Beverly Hills office, under one shared chart.

What makes the program distinctive is the pairing of two extraordinary clinicians whose roles are intentionally specialized. A nationally recognized fascia and hypermobility expert designs your care. A senior in-house practitioner — with faculty-level teaching credentials, a rare concentration of advanced manual-therapy training, and an elite-athlete pedigree — delivers it, with the consistency that meaningful tissue change actually requires.

Andrew Bergeron, PT
National Expert — Fascia & Hypermobility

Andrew is one of the leading physical therapists in the United States in fascial dysfunction and hypermobility, including Ehlers-Danlos. His patient list reads like a national referral pattern — clinicians and patients across the country seek him out specifically for the conditions most other therapists are not trained to recognize, let alone treat. Access to a clinician of his caliber is, by design, hard to come by; we have built it into the standard of care here. Every patient in the Fascia Performance Program is evaluated personally by Andrew via televisit and receives a plan of care written, by name, for them.

Sarah Hallett, PTA
In-House Senior Practitioner — Fascia Performance Program

Sarah is the kind of clinician you do not expect to find delivering hands-on care chairside. She previously served as the Program Director and Assistant Professor of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, where she designed the curriculum and personally taught the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular therapeutic techniques she now performs on our patients — meaning the practitioners working in PTA roles across the country were trained in the very techniques she will be using on you. Her hands carry an unusual concentration of advanced manual-therapy training: Active Release Techniques (spine, upper extremity, lower extremity), Graston Technique, Rocktape FMT, Postural Restoration, and Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy.

Sarah is also a lifelong, high-level athlete — a nationally ranked NPC Figure competitor who trained at Bev Francis Powerhouse Gym, an avid CrossFitter, and Ironman-level endurance trainer. She brings a holistic frame to recovery, drawing on evidence-informed work with whole-food nutrition, contrast therapy, photobiomodulation, infrared, and breathwork. The result is a practitioner who has lived the demands she helps patients meet, and who treats the body as one connected system rather than a list of parts.

Working directly from Andrew’s plan, Sarah delivers your manual therapy and modality sessions in our Beverly Hills office. Session frequency and intensity are calibrated to your plan of care, your symptoms, and your lifestyle — sometimes weekly, sometimes more often, sometimes spaced further apart as you progress.

How the program runs
STEP 1Specialist televisit evaluation with Andrew Bergeron, PT. A thorough, unhurried assessment focused on your fascia and, where relevant, your hypermobility profile — performed personally by Andrew.
STEP 2A personalized plan of care authored by Andrew, mapping out goals, manual techniques, modality dosing, and progressions specifically for you.
STEP 3In-person sessions with Sarah Hallett, PTA, in Beverly Hills, executing Andrew’s plan with hands-on care and the full suite of in-clinic modalities. Cadence is individualized — your plan, your symptoms, and your lifestyle determine how often you come in.
STEP 4Ongoing oversight — Andrew reviews progress and adjusts the plan as you advance; Dr. Courseault remains looped in across pathways.

OxeFit — guided strength & body mechanics

The recently introduced OxeFit platform allows patients to continue strength training and body mechanics maintenance under structured guidance — an essential piece for hypermobile patients, where consistent, well-dosed loading is part of the long-term answer.

PATHWAY 03

Hypermobility & EDS Care

For patients with hypermobility spectrum disorders, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, POTS, MCAS, and the related connective-tissue conditions that rarely fit a single-specialty workup.

Connective tissue conditions don’t stay in one lane. The same biology that makes joints loose can also affect circulation, digestion, the autonomic nervous system, and the body’s response to stress and inflammation. Our hypermobility protocol is structured, physician-led, and designed to look at all of it together.

The protocol is the same five-visit framework Dr. Courseault developed at our New Orleans clinic. In Los Angeles, we have adapted the format so that the conversational and diagnostic work — intake, metabolic review, and imaging review — happens by televisit with our Nurse Practitioner, while your two in-person visits are reserved for the work only in-person time can do: a hands-on fascial evaluation, and your physician review, diagnosis, and treatment with Dr. Courseault.

The 5-visit hypermobility protocol
VISIT 1Hypermobility / EDS Intake — televisit with our Nurse Practitioner. A comprehensive review of your medical history, symptoms, and functional concerns: what your body is doing, what you have already tried, and where you need clarity. Lab work is ordered or coordinated based on your state of residence.
VISIT 2Metabolic Review — televisit with our Nurse Practitioner. Lab findings are reviewed to look for the metabolic patterns that often run alongside connective tissue conditions — patterns that can affect tissue repair, energy, inflammation, and resilience. Recommendations are individualized to what your labs actually show.
VISIT 3Fascial Evaluation — in person, Beverly Hills. A detailed physical evaluation identifying areas of fascial restriction, tissue dysfunction, and movement-related stress. This is where we begin to see how your body is functioning in real time — information static imaging cannot provide.
VISIT 4Functional Imaging Review — televisit with our Nurse Practitioner. Ultrasound and functional imaging findings are reviewed with you in a dedicated remote session — clarifying what the images show, what they mean for the diagnostic picture, and how they will shape your final visit with Dr. Courseault.
VISIT 5Physician Review, Diagnosis & Treatment — in person with Dr. Courseault. The full picture — history, metabolic findings, imaging, and physical exam — is reviewed to confirm a diagnosis where appropriate and develop a personalized care strategy. In-office treatment is delivered the same day when indicated.
And then — continuing care

Following the protocol, your care continues with follow-up visits, regenerative or fascia-focused therapies when indicated, movement support, nutrition guidance, optional customized supplements, and coordination with outside specialists when needed. Most patients move directly into the Fascia Performance Program (Pathway 02), where the clinical gains are protected and built on over time. The goal, always, is steady, sustainable progress — not a one-time fix.

The biggest question patients ask is the most honest one: “What happens on the days you aren’t here?” Our entire model is the answer.

Care that does not pause

Every pathway above is built so your treatment keeps moving. A nurse practitioner who can see you tomorrow. A physician day reserved for the work that only Dr. Courseault performs. A specialist physical therapist available to evaluate you remotely. A dedicated in-house practitioner whose hands you will know by name. One coordinated chart. One coordinated plan. Whether Dr. Courseault is in Beverly Hills, in New Orleans, or available by televisit, your care is in motion.

We are honored to be in Los Angeles, and we are here for the long term. Whatever brought you to us — a referral, a flight from across the country, or a question no one else has been able to answer — we are glad you are here.
